Instrumentation Needs: Trombones
The South of the River Community Band is always looking for new members from teenagers to senior citizens. The only requirement is that you play (or have played in the past) a concert band instrument. Concerts are held at senior citizen homes, civic events and local parks in communities both south and slightly north of the Minnesota River.
Interested in joining us? Do you have an instrument in your closet collecting dust that you haven't seen for awhile? (Some of our current members had not played for 20 years or more!) Do you play your instrument in the privacy of your own home but are thinking it would be more fun to play with other people? Did you play in high school or college and are hankering to get back at it before you forget how? Would you like to get into a band with no try–outs? Do you like marches, show tunes, big band, medleys, and variety pieces? Then we are the band for you!
